about
'Rewrite A Page' presents strong saloon roots, feeling like a Tarrantino movie meeting country, with a beat that will leave you hooked. The lyrical content of the song is about releasing yourself from toxic relationships with others, and learning from your experiences and mistakes to better yourself, making positive changes.
The track came to life at the beautiful and scenic Echidna Studios in Christmas Hills, where artists such as The Pierce Brothers, Matt Corby, Husky and Tash Sultana have recorded. In great addition, the track was produced by Connor Black-Harry, and mastered by Adam Dempsey.
lyrics
VERSE
I am free finally, the shackles and chains have been taken off me. The old door opens I can see the light for the first time in a while. The question is what will I do in this aftermath? Maybe I'll walk this path without you breathing down my neck, about something I did or said.
CHORUS
Time after time of being thrown away like a book that has never been read anyway. You'd think I'd learnt by now, how to rewrite a page.
VERSE
Letting you in was my problem to begin with. It moved so fast before I knew it... Things crashed and burned before I could even take a breath, feels like I just tangoed with death. It was a typical cliche you go and betray me. But now that I'm free of all the lies and deceit I should see...
CHORUS
That time after time of being thrown away like a book that has never been read anyway. You'd think I'd learnt by now, how to rewrite a page.
